Blog by Adam Knight | July 8th, 2011

Hello Vancouverites

Looking for something fun and exciting to do this weekend down in the West End of Vancouver, well really it’s in Stanley Park J, then head down to the Brockton Point and Oval for a weekend full of free music and events.  That is right, starting today Friday July 8th at noon and going until Sunday July 10th till 11pm there will be 3 stages of music featuring big names like Mother Mother, Kyprios, Neko Case, Said The Whale and Spirt of the West everyday all day.  There will also be a family stage with family music and kid zone with crafts to keep everyone in the family happy and entertained.

All the events will be taking place at Brockton point and on the cricket oval, this event is asking people to go green to this event so please walk, ride your bike (they will have 2 huge bike storage areas to park) or take the bus to the park, they will have a water front station shuttle as well as a inner park shuttle to help move people to the event quicker.  This is a totally FREE event and is part of CelebrateVancouver125.ca celebrations gong on all year long to celebrate Vancouver’s 125th Birthday.

So come on down to the West End and Stanley Park this weekend and enjoy in the FUN!!
