Whitecaps unveil the new MLS logo

Yesterday was a HUGE event for Vancouver and Vancouver soccer fans, at 8:30am the Vancouver Whitecaps held a press conference with President Bob Lenarduzzi and CEO Paul Barber standing up to the podium to welcome the announcement of the new Whitecaps FC logo for the new MLS team that will start playing the first half of their inaugural  season in the old Empire Stadium located at the PNE fairground and then will be moving to the newly renovated BC Place Stadium for the second half, the newly renovated and new open air roofed BC Place will become the new home of the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS after spending over 15 years playing at Swanguard Stadium in Burnaby.  The Whitecaps have announced that this Saturday June 12th they will be releasing another 5000 season ticket to the public after having already secured 10,000 fans; they plan to cap the season tickets at 16,500 which they believe will all sell out.  Season tickets will include 17 home games with prices starting at $319; this is a great price for an amazing club.   With the Whitecaps moving to the MLS the city will see a huge rise in the game play and will also start to see many more special matches happening between the Caps and larger soccer clubs.  So come on you soccer fans get off your butts and lets support a great team and product.  Show your support……Were Blue, Were White, Were bloody dynamite…VANCOUVER!!!!!!
