FLYING CAR
A friend of mine came across a website the other day and passed onto me so I could take a look at what the future of transportation may become. I go on the site and at first I thought it was some kind of joke but after reading through the information I am very excited to see if this does become the future of transportation.....THE FLYING CAR!!!!! The company is call Terrafugia and it was founded in 2006 by award-winning MIT-trained aeronautical engineers and MBA's – who also happen to be passionate private pilots. The company’s mission is to provide innovative solutions to the challenges facing personal aviation. The result: the Transition® Roadable Aircraft.
So what we have here is a plane car that can drive on the road all the way to your local airport and right onto the runway, drop its wings and then prepare for take off. The estimated cost for one of these bad boys is about $194,000 US dollars......so not out of reach for people that are wanting to shorten there commute from the suburbs.
